Picture the moment a customer decides to become your affiliate. They loved the product, they clicked "join the program" on your thank-you page, and now they are looking at a signup form. Whose logo is at the top of it?
For most Shopify brands running affiliate software, the honest answer is "the software vendor's". The affiliate signs up on a generic portal, gets a welcome email from a name they have never heard of, and lands on a dashboard that also lists forty other brands they could promote instead. You did the hard work of earning that person's trust, and then handed the relationship to a marketplace.
White-label portals fix that. In 2026 they have moved from an enterprise-only extra to something a growing Shopify brand can switch on in an afternoon. This post covers what actually changes, who it is for, and the setup steps in Reveshare.
White-label
Give your affiliates a portal that looks like you
Your logo, your colours, your subdomain, your sender name on every email. Affiliates only ever see your brand.
1. The problem with the marketplace moment
Affiliate marketplaces are great for discovery. If you are a new brand with no audience, being listed next to established programs is how creators find you. But once you have your own customer base, the same marketplace works against you at the exact moment you least want it to.
Every screen an affiliate sees between "I want to promote this brand" and "here is my code" is a chance to lose them. A vendor-branded portal adds three of those screens on its own:
Vendor-branded portal
- Signup page carries the software company's logo, not yours
- Welcome and payout emails arrive from an unfamiliar sender
- Dashboard lists competing brands the affiliate could join instead
- Leaderboards compare your partners against strangers
- Your join link points at a domain the affiliate has never seen
White-label portal
- Signup, login and password reset pages use your logo and colours
- Every email arrives with your brand as the sender name
- The affiliate sees one brand: yours
- No cross-brand leaderboard, no marketplace tab
- Join links point at yourbrand.reveshare.com
None of these are dramatic on their own. Together they decide whether an affiliate feels like they joined your program or signed up for someone's software.
2. What "white-label" actually covers
The phrase gets used loosely, so here is what it means in Reveshare specifically. A brand moves through three states:
| State | What it means | What affiliates see |
|---|---|---|
| Not enabled | The ordinary Reveshare experience | Reveshare-branded portal and emails |
| Pending | Our team has switched it on, but you have not chosen an address yet | Still the ordinary experience, nothing changes until you finish |
| Live | You picked a subdomain | Your branded portal at yourbrand.reveshare.com |
The subdomain is the completion signal. There is no separate "enabled" toggle to forget about: a brand that has chosen an address is live, and one that has not cannot be.
Two levels of customisation sit on top of that:
Portal branding (included when white-label is on)
- Your logo replaces the Reveshare mark everywhere in the affiliate portal. If you never upload a separate portal logo, your existing brand image is used, so the portal is never blank.
- Your company name is the portal name. There is no second name to maintain.
- Affiliates who sign up through your portal are scoped to your brand. They do not see the marketplace, other brands' programs, or cross-brand leaderboards.
- Join links, invitation links and password resets all point at your subdomain.
Full customisation (adds on top)
- Your primary and secondary colours are applied to the signup, login and reset pages, not just the dashboard inside.
- Affiliate-facing email is branded: your name in the From line, your logo in the header, your colours on the buttons.
- Optionally, a verified From address on your own domain, so mail arrives from you rather than from the platform's white-label sender.
3. Why this converts better
It is tempting to treat branding as cosmetic. The conversion argument is more concrete than that.
Everything an affiliate touches on a white-label portal belongs to you. There is no second brand competing for attention, no marketplace tab suggesting they promote a rival with a higher rate, and no leaderboard reminding them that strangers are outselling them.
Trust carries over. An affiliate who already bought from you extends that trust to a portal that looks like your store. A portal that looks like a different company forces them to evaluate a second brand before they finish signing up.
Emails get opened. Payout confirmations and "your code is ready" emails from a sender the affiliate recognises are read. The same email from an unknown platform name is filed under "probably spam".
Attention stays put. The single biggest leak in shared affiliate marketplaces is affiliates discovering that a competitor pays two points more. Scoping your affiliates to your brand removes that comparison from their daily view. They can still find other programs if they go looking. They just will not be shown them every time they log in to check their earnings.
Your links become yours. A creator posting yourbrand.reveshare.com/join in a story is promoting you. A creator posting a generic software URL is, to their audience, promoting a tool.

The whole process is designed so that you never touch DNS or certificates. Every brand subdomain sits under one wildcard record with one wildcard certificate, so a new address is live the moment it is saved.
Ask the team to enable white-label for your brand
White-label is switched on per brand by Reveshare. Email us or book a short call, tell us your company name, and we will mark your account. Nothing changes for your affiliates yet.
Choose your subdomain
On your next login you are prompted to pick the address your portal will live at. Choose carefully: this is a public URL your affiliates will share, and it has to be unique across all brands. Short and obviously yours beats clever.
Upload a portal logo and set your colours
Under Customizations, upload the logo that should replace the Reveshare mark, and confirm the primary and secondary colours. Full customisation applies those colours to the auth pages too, so open your new signup page in a private window and check it reads as your brand.
Re-share your join links
Activation changes where your join and invitation links point. Reveshare shows a one-time notice reminding you to re-share them. Update your thank-you page, your link-in-bio, and any creator briefs that still carry the old address.
Optional: verify a custom sender
If you want affiliate email to come from an address on your own domain, send us the address. Once your domain's sending records are verified, we set it as your From address and every affiliate email switches over.
5. Who should and should not switch it on
White-label is not the right default for every brand, and it pays to be honest about the trade-off.
Switch it on if:
- You recruit most affiliates from your own customers, community or creator outreach. Those people already know your brand, and a branded portal keeps the relationship where it started.
- You run an ambassador or referral program where "membership" is part of the appeal. Branded portals make membership feel real.
- Your affiliates promote you on their own domains and channels, and you want every link and email to reinforce your name.
- You are an agency or a multi-brand group and want each brand's partners walled off from the others.
Leave the marketplace on if:
- You are new and rely on marketplace discovery to fill the program. Hiding from the marketplace means creators cannot stumble on you.
- Your affiliates are professional publishers who run dozens of programs and prefer one dashboard for all of them.
You can also do both in sequence: grow on the marketplace until you have a base, then move to a white-label portal once most new signups come through your own channels.

Every affiliate program has a moment where a customer decides whether to become a partner. On a vendor-branded portal, that moment belongs to the vendor. On a white-label portal, it belongs to you: your logo on the form, your name on the email, your address in the creator's bio, and nobody else's program in view.
The setup is a subdomain, a logo and a colour pair. The payoff is that your affiliates feel like they joined your brand, because they did.
